Underrated! Angeline has the same sophisticated feminine qualities of Angelina, but in a subtler and more delicate form. It's classy, charming and melodic, and anyone who bears it is lucky indeed.

Angeline is a lovely name. It has been used in my family since the early 1800's mostly as a middle name. I'm surprised when people pronounce it as Ange-leen. That is not correct at all. Angeline is pronounced as spelled. My great great grandmother's name was Perlina Angeline and her daughter was Angeline Pearl. Gotta love those Southerners.

I love Angeline for a girl. It is not as popular as Angelina, sounds less dated then Angel, and less old then Angela. I also like Angelique, but not Angeline. And if I had to shorten Angeline, I would shorten it to Ellie instead of Angie.
This is a really pretty, underrated name in my opinion. I rarely hear it, in fact I've only met one girl with the name. She was very smart and mature, so that's what comes to mind when I hear the name Angeline. I personally prefer Angelina, but Angeline is still gorgeous!

Angeline, is a very pretty and crisp French name. Very musical sounding and I just love the sound of it. It's on my top five with Melody, Adria, Anastasia and Celeste. I have a deep love for French girl names and culture. So this one is on there with Juliette and Genevieve.
I named my first born daughter Angeline in 2004. I still love it as much as I did back then. She, of course, feels differently but I think she will love it when she is older. I love that no one else has her name. I don't like when people ask me what my kid's names are and I say, "Angeline and Juliet," and then they say, "Oh, like Angelina Jolie!" No, not like Angelina Jolie! There's an E at the end. And I even like Mrs. Jolie-Pitt but I love that my daughter has an original name.
Just found out this is the name of Almanzo Wilder's mother. Almanzo was the famed Little House character Laura Ingalls Wilder's husband. It is beautiful!

This name is beautiful. Much better than Angelina.
I'm in love with this name. I love the nickname Angie too. I also like Angelina but I liked Angeline better, now I like both the same! So beautiful. I don't like Angel or Angela though.
My name is Angeline, and I love my name. I always thought I was the only one with a name like mine (dreamy girl that I was) but that's not the case. At least my name isn't Jennifer, which is VERY common.
