Meaning & History
From Greek ἀνδροδάμας (androdamas) meaning "man-taming, man-slaying", itself from ἀνδρός (andros) "of a man" and δαμάζω (damazo) meaning "to tame". In Greek mythology Androdamas was the son of Phlias and Chthonophyle, daughter of King Sicyon.
