Actually, this is not the feminine for Andrei/Andrew, but the short form for Andrada. Andrada is a Romanian feminine name of Dacian origins (Andrada was the daughter of Dacian king Decebal). The feminine for Andrei is Andreea.

In Ireland and Scotland, ths is also used as a boys name - I have a male cousin called Andra. I've never thought of it as feminine.
