He ruled for about two years over most of Egypt, from c.1793 BCE to c.1791 BCE. His name Ameny Qemau is a filiative nomina meaning "Ameny's son Qemau", meaning that his father was likely his predecessor, the pharaoh Sekhemkare Amenemhat V.
