Likely a diminutive derived ultimately from Amun. Ameny Qemau was an Egyptian pharaoh of the 13th Dynasty during the Second Intermediate Period. He ruled for about two years over most of Egypt, from c.1793 BCE to c.1791 BCE. His name Ameny Qemau is a filiative nomina meaning "Ameny's son Qemau", meaning that his father was likely his predecessor, the pharaoh Sekhemkare Amenemhat V.
