I love the meaning and pronunciation. I love names packed with powerful meanings, they would surely inspire their bearers. It also reminds me of ancient Hebrew -yahu names, but that's just in spelling.

Not many people really get to see the world. Prince Alemayehu (1861-1879) was son of Tewodros II of Ethiopia, who was the emperor of Ethiopia until his death. After his father's suicide, Prince Alemayehu was taken to Britain and soon after he lost his mother as well. During his time in Britain he met Queen Victoria, who showed great interest in him. He died of pleurisy at the age of 18. The story of his life has been told both in a book and on BBC.
