Agripina is also used in Brazil. It's my paternal grandma's name. (She's of Ukrainian heritage on her father's side, and was named after a relative named Agrafena.)
Agripina Montes del Valle (1844–1912) also known as "Azucena del Valle", "Porcia" and "La Musa del Tequendama", was a Colombian poet, writer, and intellectual. She was recognized for her works dedicated to the beauty of her country and region, and to the women of Colombia and Latin America at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
Agripina Samper Agudelo (1833 — 1892) was a Colombian poet. Having a literary family, she received an education not easily accessible to women of her time and country. She wrote prose and poetry under the pseudonym "Pía-Rigán", an anagram of her given name. Her work remained unpublished during her lifetime and was only anthologized and published posthumously.
