The English pronunciation given for this is AD-ə-lien, but I intuitively pronounce Adeline as AD-ə-leen, sort of like the French. It's Adaline that I read as AD-ə-lien, with a long I.

The pronunciation will cause confusion. It. Will. Cause. Confusion. I recommend spelling the name Adaline if you prefer the Add-uh-line spelling, as this is less likely to be pronounced differently. Add-a-leen, Add-a-line, and rarely Add-a-lynn.

This was my gramma's middle name. She pronounced it AD-A-LINE. But she was named after her Aunt who was a French American so it was probably pronounced AD-A-LEEN by her. Most people I know pronounce it like gramma.
