Adelina Patti (1843–1919) was a very famous Italian-French 19th-century opera singer. Her great-great niece is actress, singer and musical stage star, Patti LuPone.
I love the name Adelina, I just named my daughter Adelina Journey. My mother in-law's middle name is Adelina and that is how we came up with the name. My spouse's side of the family is Hispanic (Spanish speaking) and my side is German/Hungarian so the name Adelina fits well!

I think this name is simple and lovely. It reminds me of a name of a ballerina or a princess. I also like Adeline.
Adelina is the name of one of the main characters in The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. I think it was very clever that Adelina was shy and quiet while her name meant "strong".
Having this name, I was intrested 2 find out more about it. So this is what I know: ADELINA has its origins in German and it means "noble". Its carrier is strong, has leader qualities and is trust- worthy. (I`m not sure how accurate are these pieces of information).
The named is also used in Bulgaria, spelled Аделина.
