Adélaïde is such a lovely gem! While it's definitely not usable in English speaking countries (and, to be honest, not in French speaking countries either - it would be the equivalent of naming your child a name as obscure as, say, Philomela or Sophronia) I think it would make a great name for a fictional character.

The pronunciation is written wrong. It's actually ad-DAY-ly-EED. And I can tell you right now, though, it's a very weird way to say the name and I personally wouldn't suggest it.
