Dbf: "Tommy" Thomas Clive Samuels (22)
Hair: Wavy, Dark Red
Eyes: Green
Job: Musician
Dgf: Mona Breanne Samuels (Rains) (18)
Hair: Straight, Brown
Eyes: Blue
Job: Cafeteria Worker
Location: United States (Mobile, Alabama)
Year One- Vacation
Tommy came home the other day and announced that we were "takin' a vacation." I thought he was crazy because we both know we don't have enough money for that. But he then he told me that his band found an agent who really likes their music and is going to fly them all out to Florida to record some music. I managed to switch schedules at the school with a friend of mine so I could go too. I'm so excited! I've never been out of the state before and it will be nice to have a vacation with Tommy.
Year Two- Job
So...I quit my job at the school today. I hated that job. Everyone there was mean and bossy and the boss was totally unfair. When I came home from work yesterday I was really stressed and worn out, so Tommy told me just to quit. He said we didn't need my job anymore anyways since he and his band would soon have a record label and be making more money than we could even spend. I don't know if that will happen or not, but I sure am glad I quit that job.
Year Three- Travel
We are in Japan! I would have never believed that I could be sitting in a fancy hotel in Tokyo, but here I am. Tommy's agent (who has also become their manager) managed to get them a record label and they've been booked solid playing shows for the last three months. The only problem is they've become popular in Japan, not the United States. But their manager says that's just how it works, that you have to become popular everywhere else in the world before the U.S. will pay attention to you.
Year Four- Go Back to School
I've decided to start taking the nursing program at the community college. Tommy's band hasn't been getting many shows since we came back from Japan. They are on tour right now throughout the midwest, but they're only playing in bars and church basements, so there isn't much money coming in from that. I figured if I become a nurse I can get a job at a hospital or nursing home and make some extra money to pay the bills.
Year Five- Birth
Tommy and I had a baby this year! A beautiful little girl with red hair like her daddy and blue eyes like her mommy. We named her Nolene Hailie Samuels (Nolene is after Tommy's grandmother who died when he was little), but we call her Hailie. She is a few months old now and so cute! Tommy's band has been playing a lot more gigs this year and are becoming really popular. In honor of Hailie's birth he wrote "Mona & Hailie" inside a heart on his guitar. I though that was very sweet!

Year Six- Job
Well, it looks like I am out of a job again. I was laid off at the hospital because they couldn't afford to keep all of their employees. I was working night shifts so I could be home for Hailie during the day, but I guess I'll be home all the time now. I've applied for other jobs, but no one is hiring. At least Tommy's band has been playing a lot more shows, and although a lot of the money goes towards traveling, making cd's and t-shirts, and their manager, we have been doing better than we had been.
Year Seven-
Tommy and I had a baby boy this year, Codie Pierce Samuels. He has red hair and blue eyes like his big sister, who is now 2 years old. Hailie loves her baby brother! We've also had a great year because the band's album made the top 10! We've all been traveling the country and they have been playing shows everywhere. Poor Tommy has been worn out, but I know he is enjoying it and enjoying that his wife (we got married this year!), daughter, and baby son are with him! We are very proud of him!

Year Eight- Move
We just bought a new house in L.A.! It has four bedrooms and a big backyard! Tommy and I are so excited that Hailie and Codie will have a real house now and not grow up in that tiny apartment back in Mobile. Hailie also starts preschool this year, which she is very excited about!
Year Nine- Pet
Tommy and I decided to get the kids a pet! Hailie, now 4, wanted a cat and Codie, now 2, wanted a bird, but we ended up adopting an old dog from the shelter. He is such a sweet dog and the kids love him! We named him Hank.
