Aeronwy's Medieval/Royal Cogratulations ~ Sign Up Round
This will be like your typical royal congrats, but with a twist--all families are part of one Kingdom/Country, i.e, one person's family will be the king and Queen, others will be members of the nobility, you can even be merchants and peasants if you like. A plotline started by me and fleshed out by you will interconnect all of the families--admittedly, I'm not sure exactly how this is going to work out, but I'm excited to find out. Do not join this congrats if you are not willing to write at least a paragraph for every round. This is for us writers: extremely character-driven, and hopefully, extremely fun :-DA few guidelines:
1. First come first serve. There can be only one King and Queen (I'm leaving that open to whoever claims it first), but otherwise, your family's rank is up to you.
2. I'm limiting this to ten people only, just so I can keep up with all of the characters and plotlines.
3. You don't have to start with the traditional male-female couple--you can if you want to, but I'm open to non-traditional families as long as it's realistic for the general medieval setting.
For your sign-up, please list all members of your family and any details that you see fit. I'll start with mine:Earl: Lord Bartholomew Thomas Xavier of Cartwright (46)
-D/S: Lady Guinevere Beatrix Christiana/Lord Geoffrey Richard Francis (16)Lord Bartholomew is an aging knight--brave and noble, he is loyal to the king and was rewarded with his title in his youth. His beloved wife died giving birth to twins Guinevere and Geoffrey; he has raised them himself in his decaying castle without remarrying. He dotes upon his children, especially Guinevere, and believes in marriage for love.

Am I too late? If note, here is mine:DH: Baron Hiram Isaiah Jerome (29)
-DW: Baroness Elissa Sherilyn Florence (25)
--DS: Darius Matthew Lloyd (10)
--DS: Roland Valentine Tyrone (6)
--DS/DD: Zephaniah Truman James / Matilda Anastasia Theophania (nb)Baron Hiram Isaiah Jerome is a young baron with young children. He himself only has Zephaniah and Matilda, his newborn twins, but his wife, Elissa Sherilyn Florence, had had two other children when she was very young. Elissa had been forced to marry when she was not even fifteen years old. Her parents made her marry a knight who was far older than she was. On the day of her fifteenth birthday, Elissa gave birth to a large and healthy baby boy. She named him after his grandfather (her father), Darius. He was also named after her favorite uncles, whose names are Matthew and Lloyd. Matthew is her father's brother, and Lloyd is her mother's. When little Darius was five months old, his father died in battle, leaving Elissa with a little baby. She moved back into her parents' house, but was soon found another husband, this one not much younger than her first. Elissa and her second husband lived together for four years before they were given a son. Elissa named him after her beloved brothers, Roland and Valentine, and a kindly neighbor named Tyrone. When Roland was a little over two, his father died from a heart attack. Elissa once again moved back into her parents' home. This time, she talked them into letting her marry of her own decision, and after three years, when Darius was nine and Roland was five, she married Baron Hiram, whom she had desiring to become the wife of ever since she was a small girl. Now, a year after their marriage, Hiram and Elissa have been given twins! Zephaniah and Matilda are joining their stepbrothers Roland and Darius. Zephaniah was named after his daddy's father (Zephaniah), his mother's uncle on her mother's side (Truman), and two people for James: his Uncle James on his father's side, and his Great-uncle James on his mother's side. Matilda was named after her daddy's sisters (Matilda and Anastasia). Theophania is a name both her daddy and her mama adore. Elissa and Hiram love their twins with all their hearts, and Hiram love his stepsons very much, too.

Court Jester: Renato Konstantin "The Amazing Ren" Macario (25)
Cook: Verena Amika "Amy" Macario (19)Amy had lived in the kingdom her whole life, raised by her bitter, man-hating grandmother. The old cook had blamed Amy's father and grandfather for just about everything that was wrong with either of their lives. When her grandmother died, Amy took over the kitchen, expecting to work there and remain alone for the rest of her life. She absolutely didn't expect to fall in love with a visiting jester. The Amazing Ren was just so charming and funny, handsome even with his big ears and crooked grin. The two courted for months and finally married. Since the court had taken such a shine to Ren's antics, they offered to have him stay on as their official entertainer. Ren and Amy moved into her grandmother's small cottage and went about starting their life together.

Duke: Elijah Javan Tobiah (47)
Duchess: Adina Rhoda Hadassah (40)DS: Nethanel Kenan Omri (19)
DD: Delilah Shiloh Naomi (17)
DS: Stephen Hosea Aaron (16)
DS: Daniel Zacharias Ithai (14)
DD: Miriam Chloe Susannah (11)
DS/DD: Ariel Mordecai Gabriel & Peninnah Eunice Kezziah (9)Elijah and Adina are an aging couple who prefer the older ways. Their home is in the south but they are sure to never miss a season in court, Adina even went when she was eight and a half months pregnant with Daniel, despite the physician's protests. Elijah and Adina have been attempting to make a good match for their three oldest children for quite some time. Neither parent is very kind and both expect their children to be 'seen not heard' and they are attempting to set up good political marriages for their children.Nethanel is exceedingly shy, to the point where he can barely talk to people outside of the family and he can be frequently be seen in the library if he isn't holed up in his room.
Delilah, on the other hand, is a social butterfly and a renowned flirt. She enjoys toying with boy's feelings and stringing them along to see how far they will go to please her.
Stephen is training to be a Knight, against his parent's wishes, and is very interested in sports and such. He constantly flirts with the common girls he meets and wants to ask one in particular to marry him.
Daniel enjoys drawing and often spends all day in his room working on a picture. He wants to travel, see the world and draw as much of it as he can.
Miriam is Elijah & Adina's favourite child. She follows all of their rules and always does what she's told which has marked her as un-trustworthy, in her sibling's eyes, but truthfully Miriam just wants to please everyone and acts perpetually happy.
Ariel and Peninnah are often seen in the village running around with the other children, much to their parents dismay. They love to climb trees and sling rocks at unsuspecting adults from up high.Is this alright? Or do I have too many children or whatever?

Duke Francis Gyles Weston of Itand (18)
Dutchess Katarina Arianna Marie (22)Lady Katarina is a distant cousin of the king and a lifetime member of the nobility. Her husband, Sir Francis, was the capable but landless fourth son of an earl. This was a love match, clearly more advantageous for Francis than for Kate. But since she is a third daughter and fifth child, she had been able to escape the a political marriage.

Signing upDuke: Bronimir Alvey (6th Duke of Elestra) [24]
Duchess: Melisende "Melly" Alvey [19]Bronomir Alvey, 6th Duke of Elestra, was the son of a wealthy nobleman and distant relative to the King himself. However, his father died of food poisoning when Bronomir was just a child, and all of the money went to his mother. Throughout all of this, however, Bronimir was still able to gain the title of Duke. The king sometimes granted Bronomir some money for extraordinary service to His Majesty, but overall, it seemed as though he would never be able to gain as much money as his father and all the men before him. Then, when he was 24, he met the Lady Melisende, a Countess. It was love at first sight and, after her father approved the marriage, they were joined in Holy Matrimony in the Royal Cathedral, and the Lady Melisende was reappointed a Duchess of Elestra. -----Just so you know, I know nil about medieval times or royal families or titles and stuff, so if I have made any mistakes, please feel free to correct me! Thanks in advance! :)

questionCan I be the royal servant/dresser/butler? Who later becomes one of the queen/king's most loyal friend? (It doesn't have to be the queen or king's servant, it could be any other rich and influential family.) Otherwise, I could sign-up for to be a lord or knight family, bit I'd prefer servant or something like that :)

Sure!That would definitely be fine.

Yay!Butler: Andrew Patrick Mullinix (22)
Dresser: Jocelyn Laura Mullinix (19)Once upon a time Andrews family was rich and influential, but after they lost all their money, they have been working as butlers and servants in wealthy families. Andrew is an optimistic man who works hard and hopes that his future children will have a better life (he's planning to wed them to better conditions). Jocelyn's story is similar, her father owned mighty fields in the city's outskirts, but he lost them due to drinking and gambling issues. Still, Jocelyn's a true romantic and wants her future children to marry out of love.
Andrew and Jocelyn just married after a short romance and is now looking for a family to serve!

Knight: John William Spencer
Dame: Mary Elizabeth SpencerThe Crown Equerry, the Gentleman of the Horse, John William Spencer is responible for the practical management of the Royal Stables, which is a high court appointment. Spencer comes from a noble family but it is now a poor family with few estates and not much land at all. However, unlike many of his relatives Spencer has been very succesful in his life and has become a very important part of the royal court. He loves his work in the Royal Stables and he lives for free in a little house close to the stables. He has recently married Mary Elizabeth Smith, a young commoner with very distant noble relatives. The marriage was not a result of love but Mary and John respect and care for each other. For Mary it is also an opportunity to enjoy the life of the royal court as she is now a court servant. Overall, she is content with her life as she married above herself and John William Spencer is a good man.

Baron: George Thomas FitzGilbert, 3rd Baron FitzGilbert (32)
Lady: Jane nee Greytonne (15)George FitzGilbert, 3rd Baron FitzGilbert, is considered by many in the realm to be noble who fails to live up to his rank. George is known to love living amongst the "common folk" is the northern fells of the country.Until the death of his father caused him to succeed to the title of Baron FitzGilbert, George was pretty much a wandering religious preacher, whose fear of Divine Judgement caused him to reject much of the trappings of his rank. His message was one of living in a loving simplicity.Upon becoming Baron FitzGilbert, George accepted one responsibility he had tried to avoid, marriage. He married Lady Jane Greytonne, grand-daughter of his father's maternal cousin, Francis Greytonne, 2nd Marquis of Gromwald.

There seems to be a crop of these lately, but to quote McDonald's, I'm lovin' it!(I know Count and Earl are basically the same, but I'm making my count "from a foreign country")Count: Ezio Alessandro [Auditore] da Firenze (25)
Countess: Rosa Maddalena [de Magianis] da Firenze (23)A foreign man and woman have just arrived at the sea port! They claim to be a Count and his wife, but Ezio Auditore and Rosa de Magianis hardly seemed to act that way for some onlookers. Their relationship seemed more flirtatious but volatile than that of the ordinary couple, and yet they seemed to act normally when (they think) no-one is around. They have settled in a Villa just beyond the city's outskirts, but who Ezio and Rosa really are have not been determined yet.

Yes--I'm going to see what everyone's families are like and then I'm going to create a basic backstory/plot. So just leave the Kingdom name blank for now, I guess, and I'll figure it out when more people join.
