House of Montague

DH [42] King George Alistair of England, House of Montague
DW [40] Queen Lucy Beatrice of England, House of FairchildDS [22] Prince Edmund Frederick of England
DS [dec] Prince James Constantine of England***Rumour has it that King George is growing ill. Who would have thought getting drunk in the middle of the day and womanising would have a negative effect on one's health? Even though the king was always thought of as a wise and just ruler, the country is festering with heretics. Their proliferation is to such an extent that the pope has asked the king to intervene. However, the monarch proclaims to have more pressing matters at hand (the aforementioned getting drunk in the middle of the day).Luckily, Queen Lucy has taken on the burden of riding England's streets of grime. While decreasing funding for the military and increasing it for the church was an unpopular decision, the Archbishop of Canterbury is very thankful for the lovely painting of the Virgin Mary in his parlour, and the numbers of heretics are plummeting. While the king is ailing in health, his spouse has essentially been running the country, and doing rather well. She is well-loved by the people, but can't help but feel she's made one huge mistake - her son has remained a bachelor despite his mature age of 22. Her majesty is trying hard to find a suitable wife for her son, but she's aware that she's running out of time.Edmund doesn't seem to mind one bit. After his brother's death, he has been introduced to noble boys his age and has come out of his shell. While he still enjoys studying and strategy, fencing has also become a great joy of his (as has, following in his father's footsteps, drinking). The Crown Prince looks forward to becoming king one day, but in his opinion, there's no rush. After all, a king ought to be married, and Edmund definitely enjoys the company of his friends - one friend in particular - moreso than that of a prospective wife.
