Kaye and Etheline are sweet girls. Abe has taken a shine to Etheline, and the relationship has the makings of a courtship, while Anneliese looks up to Kaye like a big sister.
A young boy who works at Matt's old Blacksmith shop, the son of the owner, appropriately named Smithson "Smithy" Jenkins, has fallen in love with Io. Unfortunately, she's currently being courted by a young man named Jacob Harker. Jacob is stuck up and haughty, but he has enough money to help Io support her family if they get married.
Smithy is too shy to say anything to Io. Will he be able to, before it's too late?
