so do i. and i didn't put a password in and it went okay
I also use IE (or Netscape Navagator), but I signed up for a password as a precaution.
The password is because of the problems Mike C. has been having on the Baby Board, mainly with AOL users (I'm assuming this Mike. Please correct me if I'm wrong) as well as some people who've previously posted here on the "regular" Message Board, claiming to be two (or more) seperate individuals and costing him no end of grief with the company he buys bandwidth from (again, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Mostly right Phyllis. AOL users all share a very limited number of IP addresses, making them hard to keep track of and, if necessary, to block.
I have also required password protection for a few other problem domains besides AOL. So if you can't post, get a password.
