Ségolène (seh-goh-len), according to one of my names books, come from "segal", meaning "rye" in Celtic, or a French form of
Sieglinde.
Well known in
France since the first crusades (VIIIth century) - not talking about the famous, Papal ones, but the sucky, aborted ones. lol
