Ségolène
I saw this feminine name in a French song, but didn't find it in the database. Does anybody know anything about its meaning and history? Thanks

Ségolène (seh-goh-len), according to one of my names books, come from "segal", meaning "rye" in Celtic, or a French form of Sieglinde.Well known in France since the first crusades (VIIIth century) - not talking about the famous, Papal ones, but the sucky, aborted ones. lol
