Love both of them, of course Pandora moreso, being my favourite name. There's strength, fight, sass, and mischief all bundled into one. Persephone's is elegant, and beautiful, in a dark, floral way, so great imo. Neither connection bothers me. Greek mythology holds a lot of interest and joy for me, so the connection is positive, even if the myths themselves are not. If anything Pandora's commercial associations are more an issue (not a big one though).

For Persephone I'd go whimsical, maybe wordy; Persephone Alice, Persephone Winter, Persephone Iris, Persephone Amalia, Persephone Wren.
