Arvada
Has anyone ever heard of the name Arvada or a baby named this? I know it is a city in Colorado...yes...yes...a place name. Anyhow...is this off limits or a no-no? How do you pronounce it...the way it looks...R-VAH-DAH?

Yes you are correct! Thanks for all the INPUT! Much appreciation going out to each one who read my post and/or responded!
I would never use it just because it sounds like Avada Kedavra, the spell in Harry Potter that kills people!
No I haven't heard it, Sorry!
I'd pronounce it "Are-ah-duh"
No name is "Off limits" But I personally wouldn't use it.

As someone from Colorado, yes off-limits. Sorry, I can't even imagine otherwise. :-S
Yes, are-VAH-duh

Is Arvada a nice town though may I ask???
Not really. It's just one area of the sprawl that is Denver, not so much it's own "town" really. It's an older kind of run down area for the most part.
