I love it. I think it rises above duty-fusty-frump into beauty.
However, I am well aware that my opinion of the name is not universal. This is the main reason that Miriel or Mirielle is on our list instead of Muriel / Murielle.
I think the nn Muri is beyond adorable too.
I think it will come into the retro-chic popularity ring in a few years. I mean, people were gasping at Edith only a couple years ago, and it's poised (online) to be the next big name in throwbacks.
