Re: B/G Twins
in reply to a message by Fer
Well, of course I am talking only about myself, but I see twinsets as one more possibility create an interesting um...work. It doesn't need to be as stupid as "omg we have twins their names are Jack and Jake/Lily and Rose". You can also put a nice theme that is seeable only to the people who are close to you - I don't see there trying to connect the twins with one more bound. They're just born at the same time, and that gives you a chance to create a set. A very rare chance, and wouldn't it be shame not to use it?You might ask here, why not to use the same "chance" on normal siblings. Well, with twins it is already clear, how many are they, but you kan never be sure, how many children you will actually have. And so you can't really plan of a set with a theme. Imagine you've started a set with E. A. Poe-names, and end up with having six children, but after you've named four of them, you can't find any Poe-names you'll like. Well this was a stupid example, but you got the idea. :D

I agreeI'm not asking that they be "themed", just that they sound related . I couldn't possibly name my twins Bertha and Ashley, but Clara and Frances sound good together, and have no "seeable" relation. The same goes with Ignatius and Blaise. They each have a Latin origin, but the meanings are completely dissimilar. In my mind, they are connected though (which is why I said related "by a strecth").
