Do you prefer Sarah or Sara? Why? Is it just the look of it or the image that comes with the name? - I prefer
Sarah, because that's how my name is spelled.
Sara had always looked unfinished to me. I really can't stand that spelling. :\
Do you think it's too common? How many have you actually met and how old are they? Did most spell it Sara or Sarah? - It's way too common with girls my age (16); one of my step-sisters is also named
Sarah. It's gone down some, though, so it would probably be alright. And out of all the Sarahs I know, I think only one spells it
Sara. I also know a few who are in their twenties or so, and some younger than me, but I don't know any exact ages.
Do you think people would always spell it Sarah instead of Sara? - Some people would, but I get a lot of, "With an 'h'?" So most people are aware of both spellings and careful of getting it wrong. My great-grandmother always spells it
Sara or Sarha, though. But... she spells it right on my step-sister's
Christmas gifts....
Do you think it will lose popularity anytime soon? The name seems to have lost a few places in recent years. and now that even Laura and Mary are leaving the top 100 I think it might happen. - Yeah. I think it will continue to go down, and then it will be safe to use again. :] I'm rather excited by its popularity decrease.
Do you like Sarai? better than Sara or Sarah? how about Zara? I like
Sarai a lot too, but to me it sounds like it should be a nickname for
Sarah. I don't like
Zara too much.
