I also am a much bigger fan of Sara as opposed to Sarah. My own middle name is the latter, nd I've always wished it were the former. Sara conjures up different pictures for me than Sarah, nd I get a totally different vibe from each. I've known countless Sarah's, but I have never come across a Sara - to my knowledge anyways - which perhaps adds to its higher ranking.

As for your other question, I adore Sarai, but am not at all fond of Zara.
