nononononooooo this is not pronounced with a j sound. it is the German form of the Russian name Katia/Katya and is pronounced KUT-ya.
This name was overused in the 70s and 80s in Germany and seems a bit dated. I do however find it pretty but I prefer Katia, it's my favorite spelling.
