I love Frankie on a girl. I'm not sure why, I just get a good vibe from the name. I've seen it used as a nickname for Frances (love it) or Francesca but it is occasionally used on its own.

I recently discovered that I've got a cousin Frances nn Frankie! After hearing it a few times I decided I liked it. I haven't met her but she seems neat. Apparently she got teased about Frankenstein.

There's a girl at this festival named Fanny. Not Frances, just Fanny. It's cute!

I personally don't care for it. I knew someone named Francesca who used Frankie as a nickname. I prefer Francesca without a nn.

I really really like Frankie, but strictly as an nn for Francesca. Frankie is a weird one for me. On a boy, all I can think of is mobsters and violin cases, but on a girl I think it's great, the sound gives off a totally different vibe.
