I love Anthony although I worry people find it very dull. (It isn't top 100 here, so at least it isn't overused.) I notice younger people are starting to use the American pronunciation AN-thu-nee, whereas 30-year-olds upwards favour AN-tun-ee and mostly go by Tony (which I hate).
Impressions...Like you, I don't have any strong ones! Antony of "The Royle Family" and Mark Antony of "Rome". As a student I watch too much TV :-)
All in all, I do think it's a great name. One of my favourites.
