Not a fan in the slightest, it's very Biblical in a way that would definitely stand out (and it wouldn't always make a good impression for all people, I'm afraid, for that very reason) here in the UK. It's also not said the same way, but there's no escaping how close it is to 'urinal'. And the way it is said is hardly beautiful to me.
It's a hard pass for me on this one, for either gender... also, now I thinking about it, those familiar with -el Biblical boys names would inevitably assume it's a male name and assume a girl Uriel is a boy, those not familiar with that brand of Biblical name but thinking more 'Ariel with a U' might find it too feminine for a boy, if you care about gendered naming you'd not really win either way.
