I like it, and it's a family name on both sides. I'd use it as a mn, I think. As a fn I prefer Joanna.
My SIL Jean applied for a visa to visit Madagascar, which is Francophone. Her hair was cut very short at the time and she didn't use makeup. Back came her papers, as requested, made out and addressed to Monsieur Jean Lastname!
