Jean
I thought of this name today when my mom asked what old neighbour's name was. I like the name which I never considered before. What do you think of Jean? Why hasn't the name become more popular?

I like it, and it's a family name on both sides. I'd use it as a mn, I think. As a fn I prefer Joanna.
My SIL Jean applied for a visa to visit Madagascar, which is Francophone. Her hair was cut very short at the time and she didn't use makeup. Back came her papers, as requested, made out and addressed to Monsieur Jean Lastname!

Like it. Family name on both sides with both spellings, Jean and Jeanne.
It's ok, but prefer as a mn
It's okay, but not very pretty to me. For a boy I like other variations on the same meaning much more (Johan, Johannes, Yochanan, Chanan). For a girl I don't like Joanna/etc as alternatives but I also think there's a lot of unrelated much cuter girl names out there.
But it's kind of cute!
