My cousin has a kid named
Dale who was born in the early 2010s, and I find it likable. I think for a guy it's basically like
Wade,
Clay,
Dave,
Gael. It sounds ordinary, a bit rustic/quaint/dated, though similar sounding
Gael has risen dramatically over the last 20 years in the US.
As feminine, it seems more like
Meadow, Bay,
Page,
Gail. It's ok, but I actually feel like it's more interesting as a masculine name; there aren't many masculine names that seem naturey, potentially unisex, and conventional at the same time.
