Totally fine with Betty as a full name, but I’m generally ok with that sort of thing anyway. I do find the sib set such a hodgepodge of names though! James is so masculine to me, so it fits that current androgynous thing some parents like. Inez is more classic, yet underused and different for western culture and Betty is also classic and underused, yet has more of a retro vibe. Such a mixed up set! I mean Inez and Betty work fine together I suppose, but James for a girl just sticks out like a sore thumb! I adore Elsie, it’s a name I loved and had on my list when we were pregnant with our DD. My son Jethro, he’s just turned 6, has a best friend called Elsie, whom he says he’s going to marry! Beth is also lovely, as is Lizzie, Eliza, Betsy and Bessie. There are so many options with Elizabeth!
