Who are all these children you're talking about? You keep saying children will stumble upon this website and be hurt by negative comments, but I have been a member for seven years, and I can tell you that children do not frequent this website. I think you're using the Helen Lovejoy hand-wringing as a tactic to try to get people to like the name because you can't be confident and just like it yourself.
Also, if disliking a name reflects more on me than the name itself, so be it. I'm a big meanie for thinking Barbra/Barbara is a terrible, dated name that should never be used on one of the poor, unsuspecting children again. Whoop-dee-doo.
