Adrienne, at least here, is generally pronounced as ay-dree-EN, so different to Adrian :)

and I don't think ...That Adrian's popularity has suffered due to Adrienne. Adrienne is not at all popular now, but both Adrian and Adrianna are quite popular.

Actually, Adrian is popular. I didn't realize. Still don't like Adrienne for a girl, though.

That's actually how I, at least, pronounce Adrian. I'm saying Adrienne ah-dree-en, with a more ahhh than ayyy sound at the beginning. It makes it sound more girlish and more French in my opinion.
