I love Rebecca and it was the first name I had picked out for a girl, but I decided against it and the major reason that I did was because of its then great popularity. And yes, it's dated. An old name, a classic name, a Biblical name can still be dated if it has at one point become very fashionable and a later point fallen out of fashion.
