No, not unusable for boys. I see it nearly as often for boys as girls, actually. Not sure what your style is but a classic, clearly masculine mn would be my suggestion, like Taylor William or Taylor Charles. But don't do Taylor James, it seems corny to me (James Taylor's name in reverse, even though I do like him :b).

I take your point about Taylor James. I'd never consider a J middle name because I can't stand the nickname TJ.
