Re: Samantha

I've never liked Samantha, and I'm not sure why. I like Sam, I like the -tha ending, and the "man" in the middle doesn't bother me a bit (I love Amanda, for example). Put them all those pieces together, though, and they create a name I really dislike. It's a case of the whole being less than the sum of its parts.
I'll try to make some combos anyway.
Samantha Liron
Samantha Naomi
Samantha Dor
Samantha Shiri
Samantha Yarden
Samantha Lidiya
Samantha Zoya
Samantha Vitaliya
Samantha Milena
Samantha Darya

Ooh, thanks. I love Samantha Naomi, Samantha Shiri, and Samantha Yarden from the Hebrew combos, and Samantha Lidiya, Samantha Darya, and Samantha Milena from the Russian. Beautiful! Interesting case you make for the whole being less than the sum of its parts - I have kind of the opposite thought. I'm not a huge fan of "man" as a part, Sam as a girl's name is okay but not fabulous, and I like -tha as a suffix. Together, though, it seems different. Interesting how that can go in both ways. :)
