I say Frederica with only three syllables. According to the site, that is the way english people say it, so I feel justified! I do feel like I ought to say Fredrika like "Fredrick-ah", so Frederica "fred-REE-ka" works well for me. I think Frederica Pandora doesn't work because it sounds like a pasta dish. Musidora was the stage name of Jeanne Roques, a French silent film actress. She's very vampy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MusidoraI was totally cheating with Mata Hari, you caught me.

Oh, wow. Great find. Thanks. Musidora and Polaire should hang out together in vamp heaven. :-) Frederica Musidora it shall be. What do you say to Frederica Polaire?"frederick-uh?" Ewwwww. I say Fredrika as "fred-REE-kuh" and Frederica as "fred-er-EE-kuh." I like both, I just prefer the three syllable way. It has more power in it. In no universe would I consider a "frederick-uh" pronunciation for any of them. I'm glad to hear others say Frederica with three syllables too. It gives me cover. Frederica Pandora = pasta dish made me choke on my lunch I was laughing so hard.
