Yes, Ethan is definitely catching on here. It's at 15 (in 2008). One of my university friends named her son Ethan about six years ago when it was less common.

I think a lot of American boys names are becoming quite trendy here e.g. Hayden, Jayden, Tyler, Riley, Brandon etc. I've seen a couple of Caiden / Kaydens in the news lately so I think that whole trend will take off soon as well!
