I dislike it. I think it sounds unattractive.
How do you pronounce it?

Does it make you think of anything in particular? (it makes me think of a not very nice word so I'm just wondering if you have that association as well (to pee).
Yes. That and Pompee which isn't bad. I think of big noses though lol for some reason.
Do you know anyone with the name?
I know someone with this name -- a friend's younger sister, about 17. Andrea Pia. She goes by her first name in formal situations, but people she knows well call her Pia.
Do you see it getting common now that Mia is used so often? How about Lia?
No I don't really think so. Lia is common enough. Just different spelling are popular. I've seen Leah and Lia. It's simple enough that you never know when it will enjoy a bout of popularity.
