Re: Kimber & Shirl
Shirl is the usual nickname for Shirley afiak - my Great-Aunt Shirley gets called Shirl by her sister (my grandmother, Adele).Kimber is an ok nickname for Kimberley. I prefer Kim, with Kimmie as an option for when cutesy is required. My cousin Kymberley "Kym" gets called Kimba (I don't know if you had it in France, but in the 80s there was a kids' cartoon show featuring a white lion cub named Kimba, hence Kym's nickname) and also Kimbo, which is a very Australian-style nickname.:-)
