Yasmin (yahs-MEEN), though
Jasmine is nice too!
If I had a kid named
Yasmin, I'd use nicknames Yaska, Yasya,
Mina, Yasa,
Yasha (diminutive of
Yakov, but it works with
Yasmin also), Yanusya, etc.
For
Jasmine, I don't know. The j sound (dzh) doesn't really go with stuff well in my langauge.
Mina would still work, and maybe
Jasa (or Jaza, Jazka, because the s in the name is pronounced like z). My brain also likes Janya for some reason.
