[Opinions] Re: What do you think of Marian for a girl?
in reply to a message by Anon
This was one of my top names many years ago! It was inspired by my relationship with two people who were very kind and supportive of me, named Mariana and Mary Ann. I thought Marian was the perfect compromise to honour that influence and association. I still really like it, but I don't know if I'd use it.
I picture someone kind but very competent, with a sharp intelligence. Someone who likes obscure and romantic things, but takes them very seriously - like a scholar of Welsh poetry or Pre-Raphaelite etchings or something.
