Because of how its original owner is viewed in popular culture, I would imagine little Cleopatra’s parents had some unusual expectations. Like if their daughter wasn’t an exotic femme fatale they’d be disappointed.

And people would be sure to note the irony of a shy, nerdy Cleopatra with crooked teeth and glasses, whereas with another name those things would be no big deal.
