I would think that they are eccentric people. For the record, I love Cleopatra for a cat.

It's a name that's too attached to one person. On the other hand, if lots of people started using it, it would cease to be. For instance, Scarlett was at one time too attached to the fictional GWTW character, until a few people brave people started using it, thus paving the way for others. So I think I'd applaud the parents of a Cleopatra for (maybe) being, uh....path-pavers?

I adore this name! Kleopas is a family name for me. I wish we could bring this name back. For some reason, people get quite hung up on the historical figure attached to this name, something they don't do with other such names. I'd probably regulate it to the middle spot just because I do worry what people would say, but in a perfect world, I'd use it. I think it sounds gorgeous. It contains some of my favourite sounds.

I'd be delighted! The famous historical Cleopatra was complex enough for a contemporary Cleopatra not to be perceived solely as a sexpot or femme fatale or whatever. Plus, Cleo and Patty / Patsy are winsome nicknames.

I think it's a little too much, I quite like Cleo but Cleopatra is too much. I can't imagine anyone with the name ever living up to the reputation of the historical Cleopatra if that makes sense?

I wouldn't think it's weird, I know a few. One of them is my aunt by marriage, she goes by Patra.

It's just a bit much, really.

Because of how its original owner is viewed in popular culture, I would imagine little Cleopatra’s parents had some unusual expectations. Like if their daughter wasn’t an exotic femme fatale they’d be disappointed.

I'd think they were pouring it on awful thick. Cleopatra is just one of those names that only works on its original owner, it doesn't transfer. It even sounds silly as a cat name, even if it would be more appropriate on a cat.

I like names with historical significance. But this just isn't one of them. I can't quite put my finger on why, but it's not a name I'd love to come across on someone today. IDK, it almost feels like someone is trying too hard to have a regal name. Like the name itself is too heavy to actually use. Lol sorry if that doesn't make much sense, but I'm just not a fan.
