I have never liked this name much, even though there's nothing really "wrong" with it: it's easy to spell and pronounce, is very clearly identified as male, isn't weird or unfamiliar, has been current more or less for a few generations, and goes nicely with a lot of other names.
I just ... dislike it. The sound of it annoys me and I get this image in my head of a guy with a greasy mullet and a flannel shirt with the sleeves torn out.
