Big, big, big, borefest.
It feels very dated, to me. I never liked it in the first place, tbh.
I like it. It's simple, clearly gendered and easy. It's a bit too in-your-face Irish/Scottish for me, but that is just because I am not.
My step mom is a Kennedy and so I have a cousin Scott Kennedy, which is a bit in-your-face obvious. However, it fits him. It's got a lot more spunk when you say the name out loud, and all of the Scotts that I have known are whimsical and funny guys. I only know one that I would rather not be around, and it because he is one of those skeezy adult dj-types.
I also have an uncle named Harold, but he chooses to be called his middle name of Scott. So, I have fond memories of people with this name.
So all in all, I like it.

It's one of those surname-names that had a big popularity surge, which always get dated quickly. I guess at one point, it must have brought to mind Joplin & Fitzgerald and seemed rather suave, but now it just looks a bit stale and boring.
Isn't Scott a dad name now? One of those short butch names that was "fresh" in the 60s and basically went out with the 80s, like Jason, Brian, Chris, Jeff, Kevin, Eric, Todd, Craig, Brett, Brent? A typical name of my peers born around 1970. Now, when I hear of a baby named Scott, he's named after his dad.
Scott's probably one of the harsher ones ... it's sort of preppy too. Stylewise somewhere between Blake and Wyatt, via Jared. I was turned off to it in first grade when my classmate Scott annoyed the girls at recess, and the sound of it is not my style, but I think it's a decent name. Sounds like a reliable, energetic guy.

I like Scott. It makes me think of a dependable, responsible young man. He might seem boring or uptight at times, but his unshakable inner strength really shines through in dire times.
Scott's a pretty basic name, but it also has a timeless charm. It might not be the most shocking choice, but it's solid, and you really can't go wrong with it.

It's so vanilla to me, but it also manages to be dated. It's all washed out 80s elastic waist jeans. It's basic, a default name. It's depressing because it shoots so low.
(I really hate this name)

Scott, to me, is nothing special. It feels a little dated, in my opinion, and I'm not too thrilled with the sound of it (sounds a bit like 'scoff' or 'scotch'). However, I don't think there is anything really wrong with it and it doesn't make me think "That's a horrible name", which is a good thing for any name.
I have never liked this name much, even though there's nothing really "wrong" with it: it's easy to spell and pronounce, is very clearly identified as male, isn't weird or unfamiliar, has been current more or less for a few generations, and goes nicely with a lot of other names.
I just ... dislike it. The sound of it annoys me and I get this image in my head of a guy with a greasy mullet and a flannel shirt with the sleeves torn out.

Simple, well-known but not very commonly used anymore. I don't love it or hate it, but I find it nice and safe and even a bit refreshing.
t feels very early 80s, like 1981, and I think of paper towels although my friend recently had a baby and names him Scott.
Not a fan. Reminds me of toilet paper.
It's okay. It's a little bland, in my opinion.
