[Facts] Re: Shibin (male)

I was actually wondering whether it is related to the Sanskrit word shibi/shivi of uncertain etymology, but used as a name from the Rgvedic period to the classical Sanskrit period. In particular, it was the name of a king who decided to give his body as equivalent flesh to protect a dove who asked shelter from a hawk who demanded the king had no right to take away his food.
The problem is that the Keralite Chrstians choose their names from a wide variety of sources, and the name might not even be of Sanskrit origin.
