I prefer to use a full name with a nn. That being said, some nicknames are far superior to the full versions. I love Tessa, but I can't stand Teresa. I love Penny, but Penelope is just okay. I love Ginny, and frankly, I love Virginia too, but I know she'd get made fun of.
I especially love Margot and Eliza! They're nicknames that don't need full names.
Eve can stand on its own, but Em and Dani can't, imo.
