Well, I don't like Isabelle at all to begin with, but Belle as a nickname is infinitely better than Izzy. It's the first syllable of Isabelle that I object to. I think it's really ugly. For instance, I don't mind Annabelle, so it's not the "belle" part that I don't like. So Izzy I think would be really terrible.

Isabelle is the french variant of Isabel and pronounced ee-za-bel. But alot of people would pronounce it iz-a-bel. I agree with the nickname Izzy. I think ir ruins the name.
