I do not understand why Isabella is so popular. It sounds like the name of a Disney princess with a ridiculously puffy pink dress.

I prefer Isabelle but spelt Isobel.

Belle is a cute nn. I also don't mind Izzy or Isa.

I like Isabella better but that's just because Isabella makes me think of medieval royalty. As for Isabelle...it's not bad but I prefer the spelling Isabel, Isobel, or Ysabel. Belle, however, is quite lovely as a nn and is much, much better than Izzy.

Well, I dislike both. The only Isabel name I like is... Isabel. But out of those two, I choose Isabelle because I always thought Isabella sounded strange.

Well, I don't like Isabelle at all to begin with, but Belle as a nickname is infinitely better than Izzy. It's the first syllable of Isabelle that I object to. I think it's really ugly. For instance, I don't mind Annabelle, so it's not the "belle" part that I don't like. So Izzy I think would be really terrible.

I'd definitely take Isabelle over Isabella, but my favorite spelling is Isabel. I don't like Izzy either--I think it sounds unintelligent--so if I had an Isabel, I'd use Isa or Belle.

I like Isabelle better than Isabella. Although Isabel or Isobel are probably my favorite spellings. Too bad you hate Izzy because I prefer than over Belle! :)
