I really dislike it. Crystal isn't even a jewel name. It is a style that gems (or just glass) are cut into. That's like saying Bouquet is a flower name.(I actually know a woman named Bouquet, ick)
I really dislike almost all gem names (except Ruby, Opal, and Jasper)I don't see Jade, Diamond, or Emerald making a comeback at all, they all seem dated and out of use. I know a few Crystals, all in their late 20's/early 30's, so it's completely dated to the 70-80's.
